Richard K. Coleman, Jr.
Mr. Coleman joined MetroNet
in October 1997 as Executive Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer for the Company. Mr. Coleman is
responsible for managing all aspects of the operations of
MetroNet. Mr. Coleman joined MetroNet from US WEST Long
Distance ("US West") where he served as
President since November 1995 and had responsibility for
building US WEST's long distance service business from
start up.
From May 1994 to August 1995, Mr. Coleman was
Vice President - Operations and Network Planning at
Frontier Communications International
("Frontier") where he had responsibility for
management and growth of the long distance business and
also served as President of Frontier Network Systems,
Frontier's customer premises equipment business.
From
June 1992 to May 1994, Mr. Coleman held a number of
senior management roles including Senior Vice President /
Chief Service Officer for Centex Telemanagement Inc., a
telecommunications management services company. From May
1983 to June 1992, Mr. Coleman held various senior
operating management positions at Sprint Communications
Corporation.
Mr. Coleman holds a Bachelor of Science
degree from the United States Air Force Academy and a
Masters of Business Administration from the Golden Gate
University.
