Pierre Collins
Mr. Collins joined MetroNet in June 1997 as Vice
President and General Manager, Quebec Region. From
November 1995 to May 1997 Mr. Collins was the President
of Capital Communications CDPQ Inc., a capital investment
firm specializing in the telecommunications sector, with
over $950 million in equity investments. Mr. Collins was
a director of Teleglobe Canada Inc. from March 1996 to
June 1997 and of Le Groupe Videotron Ltee from January
1996 to June 1997. From October 1994 to November 1995,
Mr. Collins was the Vice President of CF Telecom, a CAP
in Montreal, where he was responsible for the start up of
that company. From September 1990 to October 1994, Mr.
Collins was Executive Vice President and General Manager
of Optinet Telecommunications, a provider of value-added
data telecommunications services, an organization he
built from start up.
Mr. Collins holds a Bachelor of
Mathematics and Computer Science degree from the
University of Montreal.
