Mr. Hobson has been a
Director of MetroNet since July 1996 and serves as
Chairman of the Compensation Committee. Mr. Hobson was
also acting Chief Operating Officer from July 1997 until
October 1997. From January to December 1996, Mr. Hobson
was a consultant and strategic advisor to the Chief
Executive Officer for TransCanada PipeLines Limited. Mr
Hobson is currently President of Hobson's Choice Holding
Corporation, an investment company that is a shareholder
of the Company, and President of 354869 Alberta Ltd., a
consulting company.
From October 1994 to December 1995,
Mr. Hobson served as an Executive Vice President of
TransCanada Energy Management Ltd. From October 1984 to
October 1994, Mr. Hobson held various management
positions at Northridge Canada Inc. and Northridge
Petroleum Marketing Inc., most recently, as President of
Northridge Petroleum Marketing Inc.
Mr. Hobson is a
Professional Engineer with a degree in Electrical
Engineering from Carleton University. Mr. Hobson is
currently a director of TranCanada Power, L.P.
