With MetroNet, ISPs can ramp up easily to meet their growth in demand - taking on thousands of new customers on our ISP VPOP service.
Because we offer ISP VPOP across all of our markets, the service also provides ISPs with a cost-effective solution for expanding their reach, into new markets.
Virtual Point of Presence Features:
- Offered in blocks of 23 managed modem ports
- Quickly and easily scalable to handle increasing traffic loads
- MetroNet high speed access at your "home gateway" location. This provides an Ethernet demarcation providing all remote user traffic via a consolidated data connection.
- VPOP uses the latest standards to enable capabilities such as Virtual Private Digital Networking
- VPOP not only answers incoming calls, it provides secure connectivity by using ISP security and administration systems that check passwords and reject unauthorized users before routing traffic to the ISP's network
- ISPs retain their own security and accounting function
- Cost effective means of supporting continued growth without the need to incur costs of capital or network management
