On May 1st, 1997, the CRTC ushered in a new era in Canadian telecommunications by creating a competitive market for local telecommunications services. For the very first time, you will now have a choice in local telephone service providers in the same way that you have a choice of long distance providers today. Much like the advent of long distance competition in the early nineties, local competition will bring new providers, innovative services and better value to business telecommunications clients.

New competition means choice. MetroNet is pleased to be the first to offer you this new choice. MetroNet will be Canada's first national provider of competitive local exchange services. We will offer a full suite of local telecommunications services to business and government customers in major centres across Canada.
